Day one of my trip to London

I have wanted to go to London Super Comic Con since it's first year and for my 18th birthday my lovely mum offered to pay for me and Tom to go to London for the weekend. So I asked if I could combine the two, so two months after my birthday I got my trip to London. It was definably worth the wait and the hours of planning.
Talk about hours of planning. I had planned a packed itinerary which included the times, and places of things to do as well as which tube to get, how long it would take, and in which direction we would need to go. It defiantly came in useful as it meant we didn't have to spend time looking at maps(although I had already spent a lot of time doing that over the past few months).

Now onto what we did...
We arrived at Kings Cross feeling very exited about the trip and exploring a new city (I still can't believe it was Tom's first time in London)! We wondered through the train station, and then through St Pancras as we had to kill time before check in.
Off the train, now time to explore...

We began our journey to the hotel (Premier Inn County Hall) at the tube station. Stopping off at the shop to get some biscuits and water, we travelled with our Oyster cards to Westminster. Traveling through London on the tube with large suitcases is not nice (I would say that next time I will pack light, but I know I won't).
The first thing we saw when we got out the tube station.

After a walk across the bride, we ended up arriving at the hotel half an hour early, but the people at reception where very friendly and told us we could check in early (which I was very grateful of as the track with the suitcases and bags were draining). We got to our hotel room to find a warm and welcoming room, and a very comfy bed. We were also happy to find that Tom's call to the hotel (we had heard only like half the rooms had windows) had been a success and we had a room with a window (well actual two). I was quite comical though, because I was so happy that we had a window and wanted to see the view so I went straight over to it. I was quite disappointed when I saw the view of a brick wall (If you crouched down and looked up you could see the top of the London eye which was cool).
The view out of one of the windows.

After relaxing and unpacking in the room (defiantly not eating lots of biscuits) we headed to Camden Market. The tube journey was a lot better now we didn't have to cart around our luggage.
Camden is amazing, I have never seen such a mix of everything and everywhere all in one place. I can't wait to go again, as we only explored half of it. I loved all the dresses in Collectif, which was a shop I have been dying to go to for awhile. We didn't buy a lot as we were saving our money for the convention on the next day, but we did both try some food, and send time browsing.
I thought it would have been busier.

Yummy Churros!

We headed back to the hotel for tea at what turned out to be rush hour (this was not a good idea) and then headed to bed early ready for the convention.
